Originally I really didn't want to post anything in regards to George's hearing, however I do want to share George's and my opinion on the issue.
Here's what George had to say about the outcome of the hearing:
"I have accepted throughout this affair that I was not in a fit state to have been driving a motor vehicle in the early hours of October 2006 and accordingly pleaded guilty to the charge of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs before Brent Magistrates' Court on 8 May 2007."
"I am delighted that at today's hearing the Court accepted that the proper approach to my case is that which I have always maintained, in that I was unfit through a combination of tiredness and prescribed drugs, and that I will be sentenced on this basis."
George is really looking forward to all his up-coming gigs and especially the ones scheduled at Wembley on June 9th and 10th, although the outcome of his sentencing will be delievered on June 8th. If found guilty, George could face 6 months in jail.
I just have to say that yes he did something wrong and he shouldn't have taken these drugs, that was absolutely wrong. However, he didn't hurt anyone and I am sure (or at least hope) that he knows better now. I really hope that the court will take into consideration that he didn't hurt anyone but his own health.
