Organisers of the Caudwell Children’s Legend Ball in Battersea have revealed they’ve booked her for a charity show.

Charity founder John Caudwell tells Britain’s Marie Claire magazine, "We are thrilled to have an artist of Whitney’s calibre to headline the event."

Whitney Houston is currently recording a new album with her mentor, music mogul Clive Davis, who claims the comeback project will be released in November.

Madonna Covers "Dazed & Confused"

I watched the whole video on CNN this morning, it was really great to see Janet in a long interview. Her new album is great and can't wait to see more of it! Too bad Larry was so clumsy when Janet tried to teach him how to dance, there's not much she could do with him.

MySpace Kuwait Concert!

Operation MySpace will be the largest MySpaceLive! concert to date with performances by the Pussycat Dolls, Jessica Simpson, Disturbed, Filter, DJ Z-Trip and the comedic genius of Carlos Mencia.

The concert, the first web cast to streamed in high definition flash using Kulabyte’s XStream Live Solutions, will be webcast live on March 10 at 11a.m. PT/ 2 p.m. ET on the Operation MySpace profile.

The Operation MySpace profile will also serve as a communication hub where troops’ families and friends, along with the entire MySpace community, can post videos and messages of support via a video blog section. The profile will also feature a scrolling ticker of goodwill messages uploaded to the community during the live stream. A condensed 1-hour version of the show, featuring the best and most stirring moments, will be nationally broadcasted on FX on April 12.

Full New Mariah Carey video - "Touch My Body"

Here’s the full video for “Touch My Body,” Mariah Carey’s first single off her new album E=MC², in stores April 15th. The video was directed by Brett Ratner who also did the videos for “Heartbreaker” and “We Belong Together.”

New Madonna Album - "Hard Candy"

The title of Madonna's next album will be "Hard Candy". Madonna chose to stick with the sweet theme because "she loves candy," says her longtime rep Liz Rosenberg. "It's about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed "I'm gonna kick your ass, but it's going to make you feel good."

The album, which features Justin Timberlake on multiple tracks and production by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Nate "Danja" Hills, will see a U.S. release on April 29. The first single, "Four Minutes," will be out at the end of March.

Breaking News: Prince To Perform In Ireland!

POP MUSICIAN Prince is to play Croke Park in June, one of only three European gigs he is doing this summer. The announcement that he is to play the venue on June 16th will be made today.

Prince will be billing the gig as the last chance for his fans to hear his greatest hits live. His only other European shows are scheduled for Milan and Paris.

MCD promoter Denis Desmond secured Prince for Croke Park having spoken to the singer's management during Prince's 21-date stretch at London's O2 arena last summer.

Prince has been through many changes of musical style, image and even of name (he used to be known as "the artist formerly known as Prince") since he first made an international breakthrough with his album 1999 in 1982. He went on to become one of the biggest artists of the 1980s with albums such as Sign O' The Times and Purple Rain.

He has since had well- publicised rows with his record companies in which he accused them of treating him like a slave. His 2004 US tour was the highest-grossing that year and his appearance at the half-time NFL Super Bowl last year was regarded as one of the best of his career.

Tickets, priced at €66.50 each, will go on sale from Wednesday, March 5th, on ticketmaster.ie and at Ticketmaster outlets (source: The Irish Times)

Janet Jackson recorded a series of MTV skits spoofing some of the network's reality shows including 'Making the Band', 'The Real World', and 'A Shot At Love'. These hilarious skits will air during every commercial break on the channel throughout this week, as Janet is MTV's 'Artist Of The Week'. I love Janet's sense of humor!

New Mary J. Blige Video - "Come To Me (Peace)"

Here's a new Mary J Blige video for her song "Come To Me (Peace)". It's not really a music video but more like a trailer for Tyler Perry's "Meet The Brown's" which will be out in theaters March 21st!

Her next official single will be "Hurt Again" and there will be a video for it really soon. There's no word on when it'll premiere, but Mary has already started promoting it.

Prince Needs Surgery

I bring very sad news to you today, Prince needs a hip replacement. If he wouldn't undergo this surgery, he would develop a severe limp and have to use a walking stick.

He is booking himself into a private hospital. Aides are keeping his diary clear for two months to recover—but they're not letting on why he cannot work in that time.

During the two-hour op, more common for OAPs, Prince will have the ball and socket of his damaged hip taken out and titanium replacements cemented in.

A source said:

"For months Prince has complained of pain every time he moves. He is totally crushed as he knows he will never be the same again."

News of the World GP Dr Hilary Jones said: "The op won't stop him dancing. But if he does anything too vigorous—for example the splits—the new joint may become displaced."

I wish Prince all my best, and hope that he will recover well.

New Common EP and Album!

Common revealed that he had began recording songs for a new full length album to be released this fall. Despite having three feature films to shoot this year, Common was confident he'd have the time to put into a new album. Well today, Common revealed to MTV that he'll be releasing a six song EP before the full length album in June called Invincible Summer.

"The Believer is gonna be my next LP," he said via phone from L.A. "The Believer is talking about believing in yourself and believing in God and believing in what you do. ... That title made me think of what I wanna be, who I wanna be. I wanna believe in what I do, and I do believe in what I do. It was simple as far as the title and concept. I wanna also mention that I'm coming out with an EP before the album. The EP is in June and called Invincible Summer."

Invincible Summer will be a concept disc that was spurred by two remixes Common did with producer Just Blaze. Kanye West is 'overseeing' the EP but isn't expected to contribute any beats to it.

"I was like, 'I might as well start working on an EP and start releasing songs out there that would feel good — and not put too much weight on it.' It's an EP, it's six songs, similar to the way a mixtape would come out." (source: MOG)

Kelly Rowland is working on the re-release of her 2007 “Ms. Kelly” album,scheduled for March 2008.One of the track that could be on the project called “No Man, No Cry”,produced by Tank, surfaced yesterday.The song is better than what we've heard from her lately. Instead or continously releasing new versions of "Ms. Kelly" perhaps she should just do an entirely new album with a new title, you never know it might just work.

Best Kept Secret is an album of unreleased songs recorded by Leona Lewis before her time on The X-Factor. Simon Cowell was reportedly angered by the release of the album. It was released two weeks after her debut album Spirit, on 26 November 2007, through Juno Records, though all trace of the album was removed from Juno the same day.
