All of you know by now that Prince is my favorite artist and I am always more than happy to update you on any news about him. By the way, don't forget that on June 7th I will make a special day for Prince's birthday on my blog!

Here's the latest news! Prince will perform for 1,400 fans at Macy's department store in his hometown of Minneapolis on July 7, the day that his new fragrance, 3121, debuts.

The Ultimate Prince Xperience package includes one ticket to the private show on the eighth floor of Macy's downtown department store, one ticket to Prince's performance at the Target Center that evening and his 3121 perfume.

The Cost of the Xperience package is $250, plus service fees and taxes. It goes on sale Friday at Macy's Minneapolis and on Ticketmaster

Christina to voice animated character

Chandigrah based Compact Disc India Ltd has announced a 3D animated movie Goaaaaal! in collaboration with L.A based Motion Pixel Corporation.

The 90 minute feature film based on soccer is slated for a 2009 worldwide release during the FIFA Confederaions Cup.

Ben Kingsley, Catherine Zeta Jones, Michael Douglas, Samuel L.Jackson, Christina Aguilera to name a few will lend their voices to the film.

The movie which features one of the most famous Brazillian players, Ronaldo is about the aspirations of a young girl who dreams to become a soccer world champion and how her determination and hard work leads her to the fulfillment of her dream. Goaaaaal! will feature real life sports personalities and celebrities and will create animated versions of them in an endeavour to make the movie more interesting and lively for the audience.

George Michael has donated John Lenon's piano (worth 1.45 million pounds) to Virginia Tech. The aim is to promote peace on the campus by donating the piano on which John played "Imagine".

I think that this is a very touching gesture from George, and I hope that it will bring some peace to Virginia Tech's students.

Jamiroquai's studio is being fully redecorated for doing some serious writing during this summer. Jay is really looking forward on working on new tunes! I can't wait for their new album to come out!

I think Jamiroquai's great, they always manage to make you feel good. The music and songs are unique, which is another reason why I love this band. I also saw them in Rotterdam a couple of years ago and it was absolutely wonderful! There was also a cool DJ before they started performing, it truly was an amazing vibe!

Since we're almost in June, I thought this was the perfect video to post: "Seven Days In June"

Carrie Underwood is the second country singer to reach 6 million sales with a debut album.

Carrie's huge accomplishment has only been matched by LeAnn Rimes' 1996 album "Blue".

Her album, which was released in November, 2005 has spent a total of 26 weeks at number one of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

In addition, last week she claimed three trophies at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Although American Idol gave Carrie the right exposure, I'm sure she would have been discovered at some point for her musical talent.

Candy Dulfer - "Candy Store"

The amazing one and only Candy Dulfer is going to release a new albume called "Candy Store" this summer. More specifically, it will already be released in Holland, Belgium, and Switzerland on June 22nd, Spain June 18th, Germany and Austria June 29th, France early July, and Japan July 25th. It will take longer until it will be released, but only a couple of months later (September 18th).

Foxy Brown will release her first album in six years on September 6th called "Black Roses".

This is what Foxy had to say about her new album in an interview with Billboard.

“No disrespect to anyone, but gear up baby, because when I come, it’s over,” Brown tells Billboard.com in an exclusive interview. “This album is going to be a lyrical testimony of everything I’ve gone through and survived the last couple of years. It’s just incredible.”

Foxy hopes to work on projects with Amy Winehouse and Bjork as she is a huge fan of both artists.

Beyonce is scheduled to perform at the 2007 Alma Awards, which will take place on June 5th.

In addition, she will soon be performing in the U.S. Tickets will go on sale at the US Airways Center, Ticketmaster and Live Nation on June 2nd 10 a.m. Tickets to see the "Beyonce Experience" will range from $60.75 to $150.75 before taxes, services, and handling charges.

AI - Who's it going to be Blake or Jordin?

Based on the current votes of this blog it seems that so far it's a tie. This year's winner doesn't seem to be obvious at all. I personally would vote for Blake, although my favorite was Melinda.

Last night both candidates performed three songs:

Blake: "You Give Love a Bad Name" (Bon Jovi), "She Will Be Loved" (Maroon 5), "This Is My Now" (a song selected by viewers in the AI songwriting contest).

Jordin: "Fighter" (Christina Aguilera), "Broken Wing" (Martina McBride), "This is My Now".

The judges seemed to think that if viewers would vote based on performance Blake would win and if it were based on the singing Jordin would win. In any case my advice is to not base your vote on the last song both idols performed last night.

Avril Lavigne - Serious Actress?

Avril not only wants to be a successful pop star, but she's also aiming at becoming a serious actress. She wants to become a versatile actress, but is keen to focus her attention on appearing in ’serious drama’. She would like to be in a dark drama in which lots of emotion would be required. Basically it would showcase her ability to be a talented actress.

I'm sure Avril won't have problems getting some good movie prospects and it will be interesting to see her doing something different.

Prince will be staying seven weeks at the Roosvelt Hotel in Los Angeles from the beginning of June. There, he will perform during seven Friday nights. If everything goes according to plan, his shows will start from June 15th and continue until the end of July. Each week Prince will perform a 2 hour show with a special guest in the Blossom Room.

Prince's chef will be cooking a special menu which will be served at 2:00 am, after the show. The hotel's restaurant will be turned into a dinner club where Prince will entertain guests until 4:00 am in a special jazz ensemble.

I had a look at the Roosvelt Hotel and if there's any chance for you to go there, I highly recommend that you go! Check it out!

Now that's a place I'd love to kick back and relax in!
