Sex and the City 2 Official Soundtrack Details

Details about the soundtrack of “Sex and the City 2” have been revealed today. This time the “girls” Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis, and Cynthia Nixon will also feature on the soundtrack. They will sing Helen Reddy’s "I Am Woman." Liza Minnelli will also appear on the album and will sing Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and Cole Porter’s “Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye”.

The line up of stars doesn’t stop there, Alicia Keys will cover Blondie’s “Rapture”, Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson will sing a new tune titled “Love Is Your Color”.

The soundtrack, which also has new music from Dido and Cee Lo, will be released on May 25, just two days before SATC hits theaters. If you haven’t seen the official soundtrack for “Sex and the City 2”, watch it below it’s awesome!

Lin Yu Chun and William Shatner Perform on the Lopez Tonight Show

 
New singing sensation Lin Yu Chun will perform with William Shatner on the Lopez Tonight show, this evening at 11 PM on TBS! He first impressed the world with his rendition of “I Will Always Love You”, a couple of weeks ago and this time he will perform “Total Eclipse of the Heart”.

Chun, received over 1 million views on YouTube after performing on Taiwan’s “Super Star Avenue”, and was surprisingly kicked out from the show a week later.

Appearing on an American show, surely made up for his ousting from the show.

Debi Nova Performs Drummer Boy On Dancing With The Stars

Cirque du Soleil and Michael Jackson Come Together

Cirque du Soleil has announced that they will put on a live touring show featuring the songs of Michael Jackson, and a second show in partnership with MGM Mirage which will open in Las Vegas. The tour will start in the fall of 2011 and will travel throughout North America, and the Vegas show will start in 2012.

Michael Jackson was a huge fan of Cirque du Soleil and would have surely been very enthusiastic about the show. "He said he was an acrobat himself," Cirque du Soleil’s CEO Daniel Lamarre said in an interview. "As an artist he had this amazing way of bringing some visual element to his performances." Michael saw several shows himself, including “Love”, the show based on the music of the Beatles. He wanted to do his own version, said Jack Wishna, the president of consulting firm CPAmerica Inc. and a prospective business partner.

"The expectations of Michael Jackson fans around the world are going to be huge," he said. "And we have to deliver." Says Lamarre.

Unreleased recordings may become part of the shows' musical numbers, and his biggest hits will likely be remixed and mashed up so fans will hear his music in a new way. Katherine Jackson released the following statement regarding the shows: "Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way."

Prince – To Tour Europe This Summer

Prince will be performing in Europe this summer, this exclusive news came in today through Europe1.fr. The funk legend will appear at the Main Square Festival in Arras, France on July 9th for a 3h30 concert!

The organizers of the Main Square Festival are thrilled about the concert: “It is hard to hide how happy we are to welcome such a huge legend of music like him ! In order to perform a wonderful show as he use to do, PRINCE will play with 2 support acts, Mint Condition and Larry Graham (Graham Central Station). They will give to the audience a thrilling gig in the citadel of Arras, the wonderful area listed by the UNESCO.”

Before going to Arras, Prince will also perform at the Roskilde Festival (Denmark) on July 4th and at Werchter Boutique (Belgium) on July 10th.

"I've had to pinch myself many times since last night when everything fell into place. Getting Prince to Roskilde Festival has been on our wish list for years. He's not a frequent guest at festivals, so it's a great honour for us. It's wonderful finally to be able to tell this great news to our audience." said Roskilde's music director Rikke Øxner.

Tickets go on sale April 27 for the Arras show; prices are listed at 84 EUR ($113 USD) or 124 EUR ($167 USD). Tickets for Belgium go on sale April 22.

All I can say is Europe, you are so lucky! Not only is he going to perform, but he’s going to do it in one of the most beautiful citadels.

Janet Jackson Hopes to Play Eartha Kitt

Janet Jackson would like to play Eartha Kitt in a movie which would portray the singer’s life. Janet claims that Earth Kitt herself picked her for the role when she was still alive.

Janet on Earth Kitt: “I adore her [Kitt] and I had the opportunity to spend time with her. She had expressed wanting me to portray her and was excited about the idea of me portraying her in a film. If that's really going to happen, I'm not quite sure, but I hope it does.” She added: “What an icon. She had gone through so much – not just her adulthood, but her childhood.”

Ertha Kitt, the self-professed “sex kitten” was famous for playing Catwoman in the Batman TV series in the 1960s.
